Having the prestigious Asian University for Women as her Alma Mater, Ms. Obiya Jolly was educated under the vision to create leaders who solve complex problems, who are conscientious and inclusive, thereby inspire a positive change in the society.

After graduation, she took the familiar road of post-graduation followed by a thriving career in academics and research. However, a part of her carried a lot of space to move further. Her education that shaped her, teachers who inspired, the books she read, and the classroom discussions that drew her in, were all connected through one common thread: a genuine interest in the self-actualisation of people and an invincible trust in their potential.

This, along with her personal philosophy and orientations, led her gently to founding WORD; a team of like-minded people committed to co-creating psychologically safe workplaces, conscious leaders, and strategies to help people reach their full potential.
